GENERAL INFORMATION
The International Umpires Camp is designed as an advanced camp to improve and enhance the umpiring skills of experienced: Youth, Legion, AABC, Recreation, High School or Collegiate umpire. The purpose of this advanced camp is to emphasize umpiring skills not covered in other camps, along with enhanced coverage of the 3-man system. With College, High School and summer youth programs utilizing the 3 man system, we feel that this camp will improve your umpiring skills and your goals for your umpiring career. Video tape critiques and viewing rooms will offered at the camp.

The International Umpires Camp will extend only 63 invitations to the session. The 2010 International Umpires Camp was sold out by Late August. We urge you to apply early to this great one-of-a-kind advanced camp. The only camp of its nature in the country.

CAMP LOCATION
The International Umpires Camp will use baseball fields located at Best Friend Park approximately 8 miles away. All classroom sessions will be held at the Comfort Suites Hotel.
CAMP HIGHLIGHTS
  • Operated by current and former Minor League and Major League Umpires. The most experienced staff available at any umpires camp in the country.
  • Chief Instructors are MLB umpires Mike Everitt and Paul Nauert.
  • Plate work with pitching machines taught individually to each student, Plus 3 man Video Tape Critiques & Viewing offered.
  • Field mechanics taught with 3 man crews.
  • Rules and interpretations taught in classroom skill sessions (Federation, NCAA and Professional)
  • Each student will umpire situations involving college players.
  • Awards will be given for outstanding: Student, effort, hustle, plate and base mechanics.
  • Only the first 63 students will be accepted in order to provide plenty of field time and instruction to each student (experienced or beginning umpire).

    3:30 pm - 9:00 pm Classroom Session

    9:00 am - 8:00 pm: Drills/Situations and Class
  • Sunday, 10/21
    9:00 am - 4:30 pm: Class and Field
TUITION (tax Deductible)
Total cost of this great 4 day camp is $345.00 for local students and $445.00 for out of town students. The out of town tuition includes the cost of your room and tax for 3 nights. Out of town students will be housed in the Comfort Suites Perimeter Center. The camp hotel is the newly renovated Comfort Suites - Northlake, located at I-285 and LaVista Road. Each student staying at the hotel will have access to the exercise facilities at the Comfort Suites - Northlake, along with a free continental breakfast. There are numerous restaurants, stores and the Northlake Mall within walking distance. Detailed hotel information will be listed in your email acceptance letter. Compare the cost with up to $700.00 at other camps and considering the great travel rates to Atlanta, you can see that this camp is an unbeatable bargain.

DEPOSIT
A $295.00 deposit (non-refundable) must accompany the application for local students.

A $345.00 deposit (non-refundable) must accompany the application for out of town students choosing to stay at the Comfort Suites - Northlake. The International Umpires Camp will make reservations for you!

BALANCE DUE
The balance of $50.00 (local) or $100.00 (out of town) is due at the October 6th registration. Tuition also includes a camp T-shirt and graduation certificate. Upon acceptance to the camp you will receive a confirmation letter with all the details concerning the camp.
HOUSING
Out of town students will be housed in the newly renovated Comfort Suites - Northlake, located at I-285 North and LaVista Road. Students are allowed to reserve a single room (no roommate / designate on registration form) for an additional $120.00. Each student will have access to the exercise facilities at the Comfort Suites - Tucker. There are numerous restaurants, stores and the Northlake Mall within walking distance.Out of town students will be housed in the newly renovated Comfort Suites - Northlake, located at I-285 North and LaVista Road.
